Have you already completed your first ski tour on the piste, have you really tasted blood and now want to go off-piste? Then this course "from the slopes to the terrain" is a first step in the right direction. With the professional mountain guide of the Garmisch Alpine School, you will get an initial insight into the right ascent and descent technique and you will receive tips and tricks on how to use your ski touring and avalanche equipment.
We take the cable car (depending on snow conditions Kreuzeckbahn or Alpspitzbahn) to the ski area. After a short knowledge of the material, an avalanche transceiver customer & an avalanche transceiver check, we learn how to put on the skins, how to use the touring binding and then set off on a tour in open terrain. This involves techniques such as arching, kick turns, pole techniques, track selection, track creation, risk management, walking rhythm, terrain assessment, snow assessment, deep snow skiing, track skiing and skiing in open terrain. Planned summit of our tour: the Bernadeinkopf with 2143 meters.
If you are tempted to deepen what you have learned today and also to intensify it in practice, our 2-day ski touring courses for beginners at Kreuzeck or Stuiben are the right place for you.
