Ski touring is booming like no other sport. Understandable, after all it is a wonderful opportunity to spend the cold and often dreary season sportily in nature and round it all off with a nice stop at a hut and a great descent. More and more people are therefore buying the latest equipment in order to take part in this promising form of exercise as quickly as possible and to be able to scale the ski mountains under their own steam. But the disillusionment comes quickly for many, as they realize that not only the equipment determines the fun and frustration on tour. Rather, it is the correct walking technique on the different snow surfaces, the appropriate use of poles, the sensible use of climbing aids and last but not least the walking rhythm that decides whether the tour becomes an enjoyable experience of nature or a strenuous torture beyond your own performance limits.
This is exactly where our course comes in and is aimed at anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the world of ski touring and gain initial experience. Just as the salesman in the sports shop shows you how to put on the climbing skins and how to use the binding correctly, our mountain guide goes into the decisive movement sequences on tour and trains you in the correct use of your material.
Of course, the differences in the binding technique, the skin material and the areas of application of your material will also be discussed again, in case things went too fast in the shop.
Of course, you can also take part in the course if you don't yet have your own ski touring equipment and just want to get started with ski touring. In this case, all you would have to do is rent ski touring equipment from one of the numerous local providers.
The tour takes place on an excellent ascent track in the ski area. After this day you know the basics of ski touring, how to behave properly on the slopes and are familiar with your equipment. If you are tempted to extend what you have learned to the great outdoors away from the slopes, then our 2-day ski touring courses for beginners at Kreuzeck or Stuiben are the right place for you.
