A hike to the Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain, is an unforgettable tour for nature lovers and mountain enthusiasts. The hike to the Zugspitze via the Reintal valley is one of the longest, but also one of the most scenically impressive routes to Germany's highest peak. It takes you through various alpine zones, over rugged rocks and up into high alpine terrain. From the Sonnalpin, the technically more demanding part of the tour begins over steep, rocky and secured terrain, which requires surefootedness and a head for heights.
Our experienced mountain hiking guides will be at your side during this section and accompany you on the challenging route from the Knorrhütte to the Zugspitze. Our hiking guides not only ensure the necessary safety, but also teach you techniques to make the best use of your strength. The support of a mountain hiking guide increases your success on the summit and you can enjoy the impressive mountain world of the Zugspitze to the maximum.
Tip:
The last section from Sonnalpin to the Zugspitze requires surefootedness and a head for heights, as well as good physical fitness. Depending on the conditions, weather or insufficient fitness and experience of the guests, the mountain guide may make changes to the tour programme. The final decision will be made by your guide on site - there is no guarantee of success.
The tour is only possible from the beginning of June to the end of September/beginning of October (depending on the opening hours of the Knorrhütte).
