Fascination 4000... The high mountains of the Alps exert a magical attraction on almost everyone who enjoys being out in the mountains. Well-known peaks such as Mont Blanc, Gran Paradiso or Dom are located beyond this altitude. Have you dreamed of climbing the really big mountains of the Alps for a long time, but didn't know how, or just didn't dare to go alone? Perhaps there was simply a lack of know-how to climb such a high mountain? With the professionals at the Alpinschule Garmisch this dream will come true. On four days of the tour, our mountain guides teach the knowledge to climb a 4000 meter peak and you will be carefully introduced to the ascent of such a Peak.
We have chosen the Bishorn with a hight of 4153m as the summit, which is probably one of the easiest of the “big ones”. The combination of good acclimatization and a course will make climbing your first 4000m peak a little easier. Nevertheless, the general dangers in the mountains and on the glacier, as well as altitude sickness, should not be underestimated. For this reason we slowly work our way to the summit, where we first spend the night at the Turtmannhut at 2519m and only sleep the night before the "summit storm" on the 3256m high Cabane de Tracuit. From the Cabane de Tracuit, on the day of the summit push there are still an impressive 901 meters of altitude to be conquered. From the summit there is a gigantic view of the Valais Alps, where many peaks beyond the magical 4000 m limit are waiting for you. You have now reached your first 4000 meter peak and we will be happy to accompany you to all the peaks that may follow in the future. After a successful descent from the summit, we spend the night again in the Cabane de Tracuit, before we descend again via the Turtmannhut on the last day and arrive at the starting Point.
The tour price already includes accommodation including half board.
