Climbing has developed into a true trend sport in recent years that captivates young and old alike. In this 1-day climbing course on the rock, we teach you not only material science, knot science, safety technology and movement theory, but also many other things that you will need on your way to becoming an independent climber ... and of course we will simply do a LOT of climbing!
We meet directly at the climbing garden near the valley. There everyone gets the climbing equipment necessary for the day from the Garmisch Alpine School. After an introduction to the different equipment, we put on our climbing gear. Following are some basic instructions in rope and knot science as well as a detailed unit in safety technology. We will first concentrate on securing with a tube and autotube, as this will be the starting point for all other belay devices.
While the belay partner is instructed in the belay technique on the ground, the climber in the top rope always receives helpful tips from the mountain guide in terms of movement theory and climbing technology.
Depending on the level of comprehension and speed of learning, the participants are given the opportunity to acquire the DAV climbing certificate "Toprope" at the end of the day. After the course you can climb independently on the rock and in the hall in the top rope (rope is already attached to the climbing tour).
