The skitour around the Grünstein is an absolute ski touring classic in the Mieming mountains. The popular ski tour leads past the Grünstein, to the Hölltörl, on to the Grünsteinscharte, the Tajatörl in the Brendlkar and to Ehrwald. With constantly changing exposures, you can experience the fantastic mountain scenery with 900 meters of ascent. 1700 meters of altitude difference await you on the descent, mostly on the north side and often in the best conditions.
Process:
We meet at the Marienberg ski area in Biberwier. We take a leisurely ride with the lifts to the Alter Joch at 1850 meters. From there we climb with skis and skins to the Hölltörl 2126 meters. Here the first descent of approx. 350 meters into hell awaits us. After skinning up again, we climb about 500 meters to Grünsteinscharte 2263. Impressive how the bizarre rock towers rise up around us. Now the second descent - we can extend this as we wish, so the ascent to the Tajatörl 2259 meters will take a little longer. From the Tajatörl, the third descent, we ski about 700 meters through the imposing Brendlkar. On the Ganghofer cross-country ski run we overcome another 50 meters in altitude before we ski down to Ehrwald. The beer after the eventful tour tastes especially good. Cheers ;-)
