In the past few years, sport climbing has been one of the sports that most people have been fascinated by. Accordingly, a variety of different courses are offered. In our 3-day sport climbing course, you not only have the opportunity to purchase the "Toprope" or "Vorstieg" climbing certificates. The course takes place in a unique mountain landscape with fresh air and far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and thus offers every participant, in addition to intensive learning of theory and practice, the freedom to relax and enjoy time in the mountains.
Day 1:
So that we can implement our varied program for the coming days, we take the first train to Osterfelderkopf and hike a few minutes to the climbing garden. First of all there is a detailed introduction to the topics of material science and knot science. Furthermore, we deal in detail with one of the most important points when climbing - the partner check. Then you can start climbing. First of all, we only move in the second climb, which means that the rope is already installed in the route and it is not possible to fall. So we can slowly get used to the vertical movement and get confidence in our equipment. Before we start climbing in the lead, we practice the correct attachment and clipping of the intermediate safety devices. In the late afternoon we make our way back to the hut and the mountain guide introduces us to the various belay devices on the market and explains the advantages and disadvantages.
Day 2:
On this day we have the first hours in the climbing garden to deepen the knowledge we have learned and to familiarize ourselves with climbing in the lead. Then we practice converting at the deflection point. In the afternoon, the independent rappelling and a first introduction to the different climbing techniques are on the program. In the evening we take a detailed look at the subject of security theory in order to better understand what we have put into practice over the past two days.
Day 3:
The last day of the very entertaining weekend has already come. Here again the intensive teaching of climbing techniques is on the agenda. In this way we try to continuously improve our personal climbing ability. Furthermore, on this day there is the possibility to take the exam for the Toprope or climbing lead.
