Would you like to do the tour through the Höllental to the Zugspitze alone or with your private group? Then this private tour is the right choice for you. You are completely free to choose the date and the mountain guide is only there for your group. He can therefore respond very specifically to your needs.
The trail through the Höllental valley is considered to be the most varied and impressive route for ascending to the Zugspitze. Climbing Germany's highest mountain requires not only good physical fitness but also a certain amount of alpine know-how, sure-footedness and a good head for heights. The experienced mountain guides of the Alpinschule Garmisch will lead you over ladders, boards and the glacier to the panoramic summit of the Zugspitze. A mountain tour can hardly be more varied than this one.
We start early in the morning at the car park for hikers in Hammersbach and follow the initially quite flat path into the Höllental. After a short time we reach the Höllentaleingangshütte mountain hut and shortly afterwards we can enjoy the wild and impressive Höllentalklamm. Once we have left the "Klamm" behind us, it is not far to the Höllentalangerhütte mountain hut - our first stopover on the long tour to the Zugspitze. If we now let our gaze wander to the west, we can already see the way over the "Brett" and the Höllentalferner below the Riffelwand. But until then it is still a long way to go and so we continue our mountain tour to the end of the Höllental valley. As soon as we have left the via ferrata passages "Leiter" and "Brett" behind us, we continue via gravel terrain to the Höllentalferner. Depending on the conditions, we install crampons or spikes and walk slowly to the actual key point of the tour - the edge gap between the glacier and the via ferrata. Here, depending on the current situation, it can be slightly tricky and often there is a tailback that takes up valuable time. Once we have overcome the edge gap, we have to mobilize the last reserves of strength for the fixed rope route. Along the wire rope and the crests we climb steeply uphill and so we finally reach the summit of the Zugspitze in the early afternoon full of euphoria.
